We store certain client identifiable information with third-party cloud storage providers so that we can access files at any time and from anywhere we have an internet connection. Any documents we store in this manner are encrypted before being delivered to the third-party provider and encrypted again by the third-party provider upon their receipt. We also use cloud based practice management software to help us better serve our clients in a timely and efficient manner. Client identifiable information transferred to a third party in this way may travel through or be stored in servers located in the United States or elsewhere in the world.

Although we believe that the security provided by our service providers greatly exceeds any security a law firm could afford to provide, there is always a risk of data corruption or hacking of information held by third parties. The same is true with respect to any information we may retain in our office. Our practice is to treat all client identifiable information with the same protection and care as we do our own sensitive information. We have implemented technology and security features and have conducted due diligence regarding the practices of our service providers to safeguard the privacy of client identifiable information from unauthorized access and improper use, and we will continue to enhance our security procedures as new technology becomes available.

Cookies and Website Analytics

As is the case with most websites, we gather basic website usage information automatically and store it in log files. This basic information includes but is not limited to IP addresses, browser type, referring/exit pages, operating system, etc. We use this information, which does not directly identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the website, to track users’ movements around the site, and to gather basic demographic information about our users.
